Dominate or Drown
This highly detailed photograph was taken at the Wave water park right after an RBV water polo game. The camera that was used was a Nikon and I used photoshop to adjust the black and white to make it perfect for the picture. The emotion in this picture when it was in color was strong but by changing it into a black and white it gave it character and defined the detail of the water dripping down. I chose to put this picture in the sports section because it catches the true emotion of how a player looks when they are truly satisfied with their efforts and have truly won. This photo has a variety of composition rules but the one most used is the framing, this is because of the blur that is surrounding the main focus of a young man who after a long game is proud of the hard work and dedication he has put into this season. The past three years he has been a part of a team that is focussed on one goal… to win. Jacob Barr and his well devoted team have been pushed to their limit in and outside the pool to push themselves to do well. This team has faced many challenges but at the end of the day a group of boys have become a band of brothers and remember what's important is to have fun. The bond between Jacob and his teammates have been tested but with hours of practice and years of training they have learned to win together … lose together… and work together as a family.
