The magazine I chose was "Sports Illustrated" because sports used to be a big part of my life and by incorporating myself into the magazine with a water background made it easier to come up with slogans because of yearbook and inside jokes while I was in swim and water polo. Also I chose this magazine because it seemed like a pretty simple topic to express and I knew that being in sports would help with my creative ideas. I personalized the magazine especially with the pool background to make it brighter and make it obvious that it was about swimming. I chose a swimming topic over a water polo topic because swim is more of a n individual sport and I couldn't get any of my team mates in the picture so I just used swim instead of polo. Also swim seems to be more known that water polo is so swim was easier to understand and relate to for those who don't competitively swim.
My Magazine had a couple of layers because i had to add the title from off line which made a layer. Also I did a cutout of myself so that I could change the background which made it more colorful. Some of the utilities that i used was a strobe light which is the light that provides more light for the image. Another light is the modeling light witch gives off light in the shadows. Then there is the soft box which directs the light to one area. During this project we used various tools but they weren't all lights. We also used reflectors much like what we used in previous project to give the image warmth or give it light where its darker. The reflector can be use for multiple things because it has 4 different sides which includes the other side of the reflector sheet. Then there is a grey card that allows the photographer to see if the picture needs to be brighter or not. Then there is the Radio trigger system which is what you use to take the picture and make it easier to take pictures.
